VICTORIAN BANK OF DRAWERS. Circa 1860.
This very special Bank of Mahogany Drawers date from circa 1860. There are 38 drawers in total, each with dovetailed joints and fitted with turned wooden and faceted glass knobs.
The Drawers probably originated from a Victorian Haberdashers, Apothecary or Iron Mongers. They stand well, are sturdy and strong.
Often these Banks of Drawers were made to fit directly to a wall. With these someone has fitted a later backboard so the Drawers can stand free if required.
