This fine well-proportoned Rosewood Bonheur Du Jour in the French taste and with quarter veneer detail dates from circa 1880.
It has a glass-topped plush-lined display drawer beneath a bevelled mirror. The banks of drawers are topped with the original marble. The fine quality metal mounts which are all original are used throughout the piece.
The writing section pulls forward to reveal the original baize-covered slide complete with inkwell pen tray and sander.
The Bonheur du Jour is in good original condition and ready for the home.
