FINE SET OF FOUR WILLIAM IV MAHOGANY DINING CHAIRS. Circa 1830.
This fabulous Set of Four William IV Mahogany Dining Chairs, dating from circa 1830, are an excellent example of fine craftsmanship. The flame mahogany and exaggerated curve of the top panels are notable.
The drop-in seats are covered in a faded gold damask with self-piping to the top which emphasises the crisp lines of the original stuffing. The seats are not newly covered so there are a few light marks to the fabric. However, this can be excused given how well they were upholstered and the overall Country House feel of the Chairs.
They have typical William IV reeded detail to the front legs and are strong and sturdy.
