HUGE COPPER SUGAR BOWL or CONFECTIONER'S BOWL. Circa 1900
Made from heavy gauge Copper and measuring a very ample 25 inches (64 cm) in diameter, this eye-catching Confectioner’s Sugar Bowl was originally used to caramelise sugar over a fire. The Bowl has a round bottom, is very heavy and has good keyed detail to the base and sides.
It is in good condition and could still be used for making sweet caramel in the old-fashioned way. Equally it would be an ideal container for displaying flowers or as a focal point in a Country House Kitchen/
