INLAID SATINWOOD CHINESE TEMPLE BELL PAGODA. Circa 1900
This elegant Inlaid Satinwood Pagoda, with a Chinese Temple Bell hung inside, dates from circa 1900.
The roof of the Pagoda is inlaid in a brick-weave pattern with fine stringing imitating the mortar between. The floor is inlaid with small square and a central motif of a turtle or tortoise, the sign of longevity in Chinese culture.
