PAIR OF DERBY PORCELAIN PLATES. Circa 1840.
This very pretty Pair of Porcelain Plates, with handpainted floral cartouches and intricate gilt highlights, date from circa 1840. They both bear a feint mark of a red crown with, what appears to be, a capital ‘D’ beneath – the mark of the Derby Factory. There is also a handpainted pattern number 27.
Condition: Good. Some small nicks to the edge of one plate. No restoration.
