Copeland & Garrett Foot Bath. Pattern Number 6869. Fully Marked. Circa 1840
This beautifully shaped and well proportioned Copeland & Garrett Foot Bath dates from circa 1840.
It is decorated with an unusual ‘mosaic’ type pattern in the Greek style.
The Foot Bath bears the Copeland & Garret mark (1833-1847) to the base an the Pattern Number 6869.
To add to the Foot Bath’s historical interest there is a paper label inside which refers to WWII. It is printed ‘Save envelopes – Save Paper – Help the War Effort’.
There is an old, thin rim chip.
