This excellent Blue & White Transfer Printed Serving Platter, with distinctive scalloped border, bears the impressed mark, a capital ‘F’ and an Anchor, for Thomas Fell of St. Peter’s Pottery, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. It dates from circa 1850.
The Platter is decorated with Antique Scenes. There seems to be a possible resemblance to Jedburgh Abbey.
The condition is good. There is no restoration.
