This super Pair of English Pearlware Blue & White Transfer Printed Dishes in the ‘Pera’ Pattern date from circa 1820.
The Patter name is printed on the back of each dish in underglaze blue.
In Coysh & Hernywood’s Blue & White Printed Pottery Volume 1 they state the Maker is unknown and the Pattern was part of an ‘Ottoman Empire’ Series, Pera being a suburb of Constantinople.
The condition is good. There are no cracks, chips or restoration.
