PAIR OF VICTORIAN COPPER LUSTRE STAFFORDSHIRE DOGS. Circa 1860.
This super Pair of Victorian Staffordshire Dogs, with good definition to their coats and skilfully decorated with a bright copper lustre, date from circa 1860.
They are marked with a number 1, in relief, on their cases and stand 12.5 inches (32 cm) high.
The Dogs are in good condition with no cracks or restoration. There are a couple of nicks to the toes of one Dog but nothing that detracts from their appearance.
Placed either side of a mantel piece they would stand proudly and receive many compliments.
