This jolly Victorian Staffordshire Figure of a Theatrical Minstrel dressed in an ermine-trimmed robe and playing a lute dates from circa 1860. He even has a rather becoming moustache.
He is in overall good condition. There are a couple of small nicks to the base at the back and he has an overpainted glaze chip to one cheek.
He display very well and is full of the Bohemian lifestyle that the Staffordshire Potters envied.
