This Grand Georgian Country House Estate Desk dates from circa 1770.  It is of generous proportions, being approximately 3 feet square.

The Desk is in two parts – the top and the stand – and by repute originates from a Norfolk Country House.

The legs are chamfered to the inside and have the original inset castors.  There is decorative cared detail to the tops of the legs.  There is a small drawer to the side which could either be an addition or a replacement.  This well-proportioned upstand is in good, original condition.

If only one knew the people who had used this Desk over the last 250 years, what stories could be told.
