This charming Pair of Children’s Alphabet Animal Mugs date from circa 1880.  They are decorated with transfer prints – one mug with K and L and the other with S and T.

K is for Kangaroo hopping along and L is for Lion loud roaring and strong – S stands for Sheep who oft sleep in a fold and T is for Tiger savage and bold.

The images of the Lion and Tiger suggest, quite rightly, the Potter had never seen either face to face.

The Mugs are in overall good condition.  The K and Lmug has two old short hairlines.

Height:  3 inches (7.5 cm)
