This charming Georgian Caned BERGERE Chair was made for a Child and dates from circa 1830.
It appears to be the original cane which is now a lovely, mellow colour.
The CHAIR is in original, unrestored condition. The missing cross stretchers between the legs suggests it was once fixed to a stand to enable the child to reach the grown-ups’ table.
An eye-catching little Chair that displays so well.
