This characterful English Pottery Toby Jug dates from circa 1830.

Probably made in the North of England, this seated Toby is holding a Jug and Cup and has attractive spongeware decoration on this inside of his hat and on the base.  The handle is designed as a caryatid.

In good condition with no restoration.

Height:  10 inches (25.5 cm)
