This Fine Mahogany Book Trough, with inlaid stringing detail, dates from circa 1910.

It combines two book troughs, one at the top and one at the bottom, and a central shelf.

The cut-out inverted hearts are a pleasing feature to the side supports.

The whole is raised on original brass and pottery castors. It can be viewed from all sides.
