This charming, large, gilt-framed Pastel Portrait depicts a Child sitting with a small Dog, surrounded by favourite toys.

The Frame measures 34.75 inches (88 cm) in height and 26.5 inches (67 cm) in width, making it an impressive image to hang.

There is a signature on the recorder, bottom,eft.  I can decipher ‘John R…..’.  This could either be the Artist or the Child.  Some handwritten paperwork comes with the picture with information that may be helpful in determining the Sitter.

The oil and water gilded frame would appear to be original.
