This English Porcelain Mastiff with his tongue hanging out bears the impressed number 305 to the base and was made by Samuel Alcock of Burslem around 1840/50.
A similar Mastiff is illustrated in ‘Dogs in English Porcelain of the 19th Century’ by D.G. Rice Page 124 Plate 198.
This Mastiff is in good condition with no restoration.
