This Craftsman-made Inlaid Mahogany 3 Tier Cake Stand dates from circa 1920.

The top tier is inlaid with the name ‘Sandringham’. It was made at Queen Alexandra’s School of Woodwork on the Sandringham Royal Estate, Norf9lk.

The quality of the work is notable – even the backs of the shelves being shaped and polished.

This Woodwork School later became Queen Mary’s School of Woodwork.
